Organic Timut Pepper (Timur Bay) - Nepal
Product’s description
The Timut Pepper, also known as Timur Berry, originates from Nepal.
Its name is deceptive! It is, in fact, a false pepper belonging to the citrus family!
This explains its strong grapefruit taste, fresh and tangy notes, and its unique aroma! It is, in fact, a cousin to the Sichuan pepper from China and the Sansho pepper from Japan, all of them being small Asian citrus fruits!
The Timut berry grows in the Nepalese mountains on small shrubs, and the fruit is harvested. Once rid of its seeds to retain only the peel, that's where the aroma lies!
Timut pepper pairs perfectly with beef, duck, or pork, as well as with white fish.
Our Timut Pepper is available in glass bottles of 30g and 60g. Ref: tim
